How to Embed a Video

----- YouTube -----

1. Get your video's url.
   e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SASjlj5R4U4
   
2. Put [youtube][/youtube] tags around your url.
   e.g. [youtube*]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SASjlj5R4U4[/youtube] (remove the *)
   
3. Post it!

Advanced Codes:
- When you post, this creates these tags around your url: [flash(425,350)][/flash]
- It will also change your url, replacing the "watch?v=" with "v/"
- The numbers can be changed to change the size of your video. The first is the width, and the second is the height. (Widescreen is typically 640,360)
- To embed in high quality, add this to the end of the url: &ap=%2526fmt%3D18
- To embed in HD, add this to the end of the url: &ap=%2526fmt%3D22 (beware, HD may lag for many users)
- To make an embedded video start after a certain amount of seconds, add this to the end of the url: &start=X (where X stands for the number of seconds to skip)
- Unfortunately, the end-of-the-url aditions cannot be used on top of each other

Advanced Example:
Code: [flash(640,360)*]http://www.youtube.com/v/SASjlj5R4U4&ap=%2526fmt%3D18[/flash]
(high quality widescreen, in this example it's not a widescreen video but if it is it will work)



----- Vimeo -----

1. Get your video's url.
   e.g. http://vimeo.com/788207
   
2. Take the ID from the end of the url.
   e.g. 788207
   
3. Take this code, and insert your clip ID in place of the X's: http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=XXXXXX
   e.g. http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=788207
   
4. Put [flash(480,320)][/flash] tags around your new url.
   
5. Post it!

Advanced Codes:
- The numbers can be changed to change the size of your video. The first is the width, and the second is the height. (Widescreen is typically 640,360)
- To show the title, add this onto the end of your link: &show_title=1
- To show the author, add this onto the end of your link: &show_byline=1
- To show the author's portrait, add this onto the end of your link: &show_portrait=1
- To show a full screen button, add this onto the end of your link: &fullscreen=1
- To choose a color for the title, author, and volume, add this to the end of your link: &color=XXXXXX (replace the X's with a html color code - use http://www.december.com/html/spec/color.html to find them)
- These can be stacked onto each other - just put one after the other!

Advanced Example:
Code: [flash(640,360)*]http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=788207&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=1&color=FF0000&fullscreen=1[/flash]
(widescreen, title, author, portrait, red color, and full screen button)
